Our Story
Kate's Candle Co. began as a solution to a problem: how to get quality soy candles, soaps, and lotions into our retail store in Laconia, New Hampshire. We were pretty exacting (essential oils only in our soaps and lotions, please!), and just couldn't find a brand that we loved (though there are certainly many NH-made products out there that are of very high quality). We decided to give it a whirl ourselves, and after five years (and many adjustments to the brand), we sold the retail shop so that we could dedicate our time to the candle and soap making business.
What began as a solo effort has evolved into a mother-daughter dream team (and no, neither of us is "Kate")! We are dedicated to excellence in our production (all products are handmade), and in service (we so appreciate our customers). We are grateful to be doing what we love, and hope that it shows in our work.
