As some of you know, we've moved around a bit--first as Curiosity & Co. (the shop), and again since selling the shop back in February. Unfortunately, after spending many sweltering days in our studio at the Stevens Mill over the summer, I froze as soon as the temps fell before 50°! This is obviously not ideal for either candle making or painting with milk paint (my other creative outlet). So, in an effort to solve this problem, we will be moving into a little store on Central Street in Franklin. Will it work? I can't honestly say (but I hope so)!
Anyone who knows me knows that I have never moved into a space without first working it over. This week the new space will get a deep clean and a face lift, and next week my trusty moving guys will help me get set up. For those who are curious (and enjoy "before and after" photos), the pictures below represent our starting point; I will post some "after" photos soon!
Thank you, as always, for your business and friendship. My customers truly make the difference, and it is only because of you that I can do what I love. I appreciate that more than you know.
Hope to see you soon in the new shop!
Hi! My name is Stora, and I started making candles about 5 years ago when I owned a little shop in downtown Laconia, NH, and couldn't get a local candle maker to call me back! (I would like to kiss her feet now--I'm having so much fun.) I have since ventured into soap, lotions, and scrubs, and who knows where the future will take us? I hope you'll follow along to see!
